PRESS RELEASE:
On Saturday, November 23rd, Mid-America Preparatory School had 4 band students participate in the Illinois Music Education Association District Band Festival. The Junior High participants were 8th Graders Jack Lowry (Brownstown) – trumpet, and Nathanael Ritchie (Tower Hill) – saxophone. The High School participants were Freshmen Martin Cook (Shelbyville) – clarinet, and Lucy Allen (Vandalia) – French horn. The festival took place in the Dvorak Concert Hall on the campus of Eastern Illinois University. They are pictured with their director Ms. Kendra Houghtaling.
